Here at Eagle Platforms we are finding it hard to keep the smiles off our faces as we can reveal we have supplied a range of machines to the British GT Touring Car Championships in what we hope will represent a foot in the door of a very exciting and dynamic industry. Our role in the Championships involved supply of access for filming and the tour as well as the media production.
The British GT Touring Car Championships covered the months of May to October and culminated in an exciting showdown at Donington Park which saw Machitski and Lind seal the GT3 title in fine style in challenging wet/dry conditions over the day. For those who have not experienced it the British GT Touring Car Championship events represent an excellent day out – far removed from the pomp and ceremony of Formula One, the hospitality is down to earth, but the experience is scintillating. You are never far from a big screen (partly in thanks to Eagle Platforms!) and the intensity of the experience and the crowd participation is outstanding. It really is a day out that is hard to beat for pure adrenaline-fuelled entertainment.
Eagle Platforms provided two main machines for the work on the filming and media production side of things. These were:

This is a brand new, top of the range machine that requires no engine running, so there is no interference with the sound during interviews or transmissions and the machines benefit from vastly reduced emissions, which is a must in an era in which motor-sport is desperately trying to reduce its carbon footprint and secure its place in a greener future.

Another rough terrain scissor with impressive capabilities.
These scissors allowed us to benefit from 4×4 capability and rough terrain requirements while keeping sound and emissions to a bare minimum. The fantastic thing about these machines is that they are better for the environment with no compromise for the client.
