Snorkel Our Partners

Eagle Platforms are always looking at new pieces of kit to boost our inventory and provide unique solutions to challenging conditions for our many clients. Not all sites and areas are created equal and there is often the need to get MEWPs capable of great working heights into tight areas. This is where our brand new Snorkel scissors come in! Contrary to the name (it’s a brand and the leading global manufacturer of aerial work platforms) they are not designed for working at height from the bottom of the sea, but they are incredibly adept at squeezing through tight spaces and at 1.45m wide they can even fit through double doors!

A compact model it may be, but it is capable of working in a large workspace and with an excellent safe working load. The cage of this model is capable of folding down and an extending deck is a very useful function too. The Snorkel scissor lift is fully drivable from height and benefits from the whole gamut of functions you might expect including pot-hole protection and proportional control. It’s a real all rounder as well as being the narrowest rough terrain scissor lift in the world!

With full rough terrain capability and great robustness as well as four wheel drive capacity, the snorkel scissor will prove a versatile machine for all manner of diverse applications. Helpful in this regard is the fact that these models are also available in bi-energy for the ultimate in flexibility. A switch from the standard diesel to battery power means that the same machine can be taken indoors where regulations on noise and emissions are tougher. The stowed height is just 2.5m, which is handy where storage space is at a premium.
